Tap (from tasting tray) at the brewpub. Dark mahogany with a beige head. Malty aroma with roasty notes, hints of wood, dark fruits and hops. Medium to moderate sweet with mild, but pleasant malty flavours and a light bitterness. Fairly enjoyable.

Tap (from tasting tray) at the brewpub. Clear amber with a rather modest head. Slightly unpleasant grainy and caramelly aroma with notes of overripe fruits. Sweet with slightly unpleasant flavours, feels a bit off. Glad I only had a taster of this one. --- Beer merged from original tick of Irish Red Ale on 22 May 2017 at 12:42 - Score: 5

Deep golden, opaque. Tall rocky white head. Good retention. Well lacing. Smells of boiled peas & corn, grains, mould malts. Light body. Thin to oily. Dryish taste, grainy, wet malt, bread. Low bitterness. Rustic, dirty, unnecessary.

Draught. Bronze colour, airy off-white head with pinkish nuances. Stays for a minute. The smell reveals just the same other brewery sorts show. DMS, wet malts, modest caramel after that. Light body. Oily texture. Semidry flavour, bready, farmer’s malts. Low to light hoppy bitterness. Even that ale they managed to be like their lagers. You may take it as a compliment despite the rating
