Bottle. Caramel malt, grass, and orange/grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy amber with large tan head. Moderately sweet tangerine/orange, caramel malt, and moderately bitter quinine/grapefruit peel flavor. Good body - a bit heavy.

On tap at Vintage. Filtered looking brown body. Steady, creamy beige head. Intense, undesirable wine aroma. Illogical barrel aging really fails here. Boozy, way too much wine tone. Not good.

Even at the score I think I'm being maybe a little generous here because they've got the Malt hop ratio a little bit in reverse. I'm noticing more cracker bread qualities than I am the fresh hops. It's okay I guess but nothing I'd really look forward to. It seems like I've had this in the past and was better but oh well.

On tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has light tropical fruits and earthy citrus with a bit of sweet grains underlying. Flavor tropical fruits and citrus with a light grain backbone.

Pretty okay beer. Basically sweet with a little bit of Carbonic tent going to hint of bitterness to balance it and not much more. There is no way that this is a Belgian beer that was double fermented.

12oz can. Interesting new school hop tones. I'm guessing Mandarina and Mosaic. Either way, quite juicy and nice. Drinks quite nice for 7.3%. Still has some malt backbone, sort of standard Ale Asylum feel, which is a good thing here. Modern solid beer. Good stuff.
