Description
Taybeh Brewing Company is a family owned business established in 1994 following the Oslo Peace Agreement (1993) when David Khoury and Nadim Khoury were inspired by their late father, Canaan David Khoury (1926-2002) to return to their home village of Taybeh after spending more than twenty years in the United States and establish the first micro brewery in the Middle East.
The goal was to invest and boost the local economy by introducing new styles of natural hand crafted micro-brewed beers according to the German Purity Law with no preservatives or additives making an excellent Palestinian beer while creating a nationalistic feeling. Nadim Khoury turned his hobby of making homemade beer during college days into a career becoming the master brewer. He is very proud to pass this passion and experience to his daughter, Madees Khoury, the only female brewer in Palestine.

Bottle at KØ18. Fruity and spicy aroma. Hazy golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is spicy from the hops. Mild bitterness. Ok mouthfeel.

Bottle from the lovely lovely brewery in Taybeh. Much darker than a traditional amber but now I see it is actually an altbier (confusing labeling). Very dark flavouring, quite smoked and stouty at times. Not bad. Bottle from brewery again. 2.8 to 3 Less stouty and more sort of aley, or altbiery. Humble flavour

Bottle at the brewery. Now this was a very pleasant surprise. Very fresh, lovely carbonation, well considered use of spice and orange. Perfect for guzzling when it is warm I'm sure. I didn't even know it was 3.8%, what an achievement . Bottle from the brewery, 7 weeks later. Amazed to not have to budge this rating . A very nice fresh beer; hoping yo have a few pints of it at the Oktoberfest.

Beers of the World country 97: Palestine 🇵🇸
"The beer is golden in colour with a medium white head that lingers. It also has a solid amount of carbonation that lasts. This beer actually looks alot better than it tastes. It tastes malty but has a weird bitterness to it that is not to my liking. The same bitterness also stays into the aftertaste making it hard to really enjoy this rarity from Palestine." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

Bottle from rewined, Bethlehem. A decent beer, smooth and nicely hopped and crafted. ------ Rerated, bottle from brewery . Fine when not paying attention but the finish was weird, bit bleachy this time. Lovely aroma though. (19/1/18) ----- Bottle from the brewery in Taybeh. Kept at 3. A little soapy in the end but otherwise fine.

Bottle from Fauzi Azar Inn, Nazareth. A little unfair to rate it as a golden as it is in fact a take on a German lager. It does well with the pilsner malts, a slight spice. Quite smooth. Overall, an ok lager. ---------------- Tap at Taybeh Oktoberfest & Ramallah as well as bottle in Jericho. A decent enough lager to be honest, 2.5 to 2,7 (15/9/18) --------------------- Bottle at walled off, Bethlehem. kept at 2.7. decent sweet helles style (20/5/19) ---------- Bottle at the brewery after a long hike. 2.7 to 3.1. A really fresh lager that actually came across more pilsnery this time with an almost there pilsner bitterness. Liked it.

Bottle, thanks David. Sweet and fruity IPA. Notes of pear and also unpleasant notes of paper.
