Description
(Partnership between High West Distillery and Ballast Point Brewery)
As a pioneer in his field with a passion for barrel-aged beers, David Perkins, founder of High West, was searching for a beer that didn’t exist. He decided to create a new beer that would push boundaries and quench his thirst for a well-balanced, easy-drinking, barrel-aged beer.
Born out of Western ingenuity and boldness, a lager aged in bourbon barrels makes Western Standard anything but ordinary.

12 oz bottle from Boise Co-op. Clear amber with fizzy head. Caramel malts for the aroma with a hint of the barrels. Bourbon is more prevalent in the taste, sweet caramel malt. I'm guessing a Vienna...
