On tap @ the brewery. Hazy golden appearance with a tan head. Toasted bread, orange, light lemon, a touch spicy aroma. A little bit sweet. High carbonation. Dough, spice, grain, and grass. Blah.

Tulip at the brewery - hazy light copper - sweet aroma of honey and white frosting, with some touches of mild pear esters and pepper - flavor is similar - sweet and syrupy, with a lot of pear and apple - a twangy acidity through the middle before a lightly spicy finish that brings some dull yeasty goopiness to the mix.

Sample at Collaboration Fest on 03/21/2015. The beer is a clear dark amber color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, biscuit malt and yeast. Medium-bodied with a funky citrus character and notes of earthy yeast, spice and toasted malt. The finish is mildly sour with a citrusy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Dark ruby brew - smells and tastes of dark bread and toasty, roasty maltiness, along with sweet, caramelized sugars - little to no saison yeast character to speak of - finish of pumpernickel, toffee, some tobacco, burnt sugar - pretty lame.

Hazy dark gold - this is actually pretty dang good - the texture is nice - good attenuation and tight carbonation - toasty, earthy sweet potato is present, but not overdone in the nose and flavor - the sage and pepper qre also understated but pleasant here - dry, toasty malt character, with some finishing phenolics to add depth - my favorite brew here so far.

Lightly hazy pale gold - moderately sweet, moderately bitter, with fairly strong peppery phenols that a strong, somewhat abrasive spiciness to the.finish - rose hips add some acidity and some add fruit cocktail sort of quality (tastes like a mandarin orange fruit cup through the.middle) - spicy finish, medium dry - fairly creamy texture with fairly firm malt structure, but the flavor needs work.

Tap at the brewery - milky white pour - nose has strong lactic tartness and some strong vitamin B - flavor is tart, quenching acids, punchy lactic tartness, citrus and melon rind, light grass and moderate wheat - a mild sweetness, but mostly acidic and quenching - honestly pretty impressive flavor-wise.

Tap at the brewery - turbid orange - flabby and poorly attenuated, but far more complex than their other saisons - high sweetness, tasting almost like white frosting in the finish - tropical esters at least play off the sweetness decently - some dusty yeast character - quite peppery in the finish - lingering sweet orange flesh - a few hints of promise, but mostly uninspiring.
