Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy orange-caramel color with a large foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart lemon and grapefruit. The flavor was tart and bitter lemon, grapefruit, papaya and perfume. Long lemon, grapefruit and perfume finish. Medium body. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a large creamy brown head that lingered forever and left great lacing. The aroma was bitter and sour brewed coffee, vanilla, roasty malts and a bit of smoke. The flavor was very bitter with sour brewed coffee, roasty malts, wood, smoke and vanilla. Long bitter roasty and smoky finish with lingering coffee. Moderately full bodied but undercarbonated. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy dark tan head that fades and left excellent lacing. The aroma was dryish, roasty, malty and a bit woody with a bit of cocoa powder. The flavor was dryish, nutty and malty with cocoa powder, wood, a hint of coffee and a touch of dark fruit underneath. Long finish. Medium body. Decent.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a small tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was roasty and malty with a bit of coffee. The flavor was roasty, bitter and had a floral hop note. No detectable orange peel and almost no coffee flavor. Medium length finsih. medium body. Disappointing.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark red-caramel color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with notes of bread and honey. The flavor was tangy, bitter and fairly fruity with notes of bread, honey and booze. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

The flavor was smoke, mildly bitter and roasty malts, hot peppers, and an undertone of fruity and floral hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, a bit of bread, honey and dark fruits. The flavor was tangy and bitter with honey, bread, toffee, dark fruits and toasted caramel. Long toasted caramel, toffee, honey and fruit finish. Moderately full bodied. Excellent.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown - almost black color with a small foamy beige head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart with dark fruits, a bit of citrus, molasses and vague spices. The flavor was tart and tangy dark fruits, citrus, toasted caramel and spices. There was a boozy presence that worked well and grew as the brew warmed. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark amber color with a large foamy white head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dry wood, smoke and a touch of soot. The flavor was dry, malty and a bit bready with faint wood, smoke and soot. Medium length wood and smoke finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark golden color with a large foamy yellow-white head that left great lacing. The aroma was smoky, malty and woody. The flavor was smoke, wood, malty and sweet with hints of pumpkin pie spice. The smoke totally overwhelms after a sip or two. Long sweetish wood and smoke finish. Moderately full bodied. Ruined by too much smoke.
