Bomber from the brewery, consumed in a hotel room. Pours dark brown, with a fleeting, tan head. The nose is toffee, nutty sherry, dusty cocoa, pine sap, and sharp caraway. Sweet and rubbery, with a mild, dusty bitterness. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, and quite acrid. Rough and remarkably unpleasant.

Short pour at the brewery. Pours black, with small, foamy, tan head. The nose is creme de cocoa, toasted coconut, maple syrup, and toffee. Very sweet and syrupy, with no bitterness or balance. Heavy, syrupy, and bit malty, and slick. Decadent and syrupy (in case you didn't catch it earlier). Quite tasty.
