Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep amber coloured, smaller off-white foamy layer; molasses, dark dried fruit and a touch of port in the nose; robust sweet bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; mainly molasses and dark fruit in the sweet finish, some bitterness, that keeps it well balanced, detectable in the very end. Not the worst Bock........

(bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized, persistent, off-white foamy head. Sweet, very grainy, slightly toasted aroma with notes of caramel and a rather shy hoppy touch. Sweet flavour, medium body and carbonation. Malt-accented, slightly toasty and a bit papery taste; fruity malty finish with a light bitterness and a touch of cardboard in the aftertaste. Mediocre Festbier.

(swing top bottle, thanks to Koelschtrinker !) Hazy, orange colour with a mid-sized foamy almost white head. Medium-sweet, grainy, slightly buttery and citrus-fruity aroma with a shy hoppy touch. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium-bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Grainy and yeasty taste; dry and slim, slightly papery, yeasty- and slightly hop-bitter finish. Average, drinkable.

Wenig fruchtig, absolut vollmundig. Langer feiner Malznachgeschmack mit deutlichen Schokoladennoten. Sehr gut! 9/11/12/12/13/13

Bottle, 8%. Sour aroma. Clear brown colour. Stable brown head. The flavour is quite malty, some alcohol and a rough sourness. Good mouthfeel.

Bottle: Golden coloured, smaller fluffy head; grainy, grassy-bitter nose with a tinge of vegetables; quite dry bitter flavour, light bodied; grassy bitter finish with a grainy touch in the background. Only bitter, not aromatic.......poor!

Bottle: Golden coloured, quickly diminishing white head; moderate sweetish-grainy to dusty nose with a touch of "oaky" hoppiness; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; sweetish-malty to grainy finish with a light "bitter end". A tasty, chewy, well rounded Helles.......

Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Clear, brown body. Lightly brown, creamy head. Sweet fruity aroma, but not totally in balance. Hoppy flaovur with some maltiness. Not very interesting.
