22oz bottle thanks to Ben pours out crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is corn husk grain notes citrus hops and some grass. Taste is more of the light husk cereal malts and some citrus hops.

Bottle from the brewery. Medium golden, mild haze, small bubbly head, streaky lacing. Aroma is caramel , leather, kind of musty. Taste would be caramel malts, but the hops come in and take this straight to bitterness. Resin, wood, orange peel. Dry finish. Not that enjoyable.

Bottle at the 10th Boise Imperial Stout Tasting. Black pour with a whispy tan head. Heavy aroma is boozy and full of bourbon barrel notes. There is enough roast to carry through a bit, but most of the taste is centered around the barrel treatment. Boozy and strong.

Bomber brought to 2017 RIS tasting. Black and flat, not much of a head on this, and big boozy aroma, strong enough to singe your nose hairs. Big aroma and taste, very overpowering, lots of bourbon, some apples, roast grains. Strong and sweet. Might mellow out with more time.

Bottle picked up at the brewery. Bright, electric golden, thick , lasting fluffy head. Grainy, musty aroma. Taste also prominently features the grains, not too hoppy, almost an afterthought. Reminds me much more of a lager than an APA. Dry finish.

Grunt fill from brewery. Pours out a flat, dark brown, kind of lifeless. Huge dark roasty, nutty aroma, kind of woody. Taste carries the big malts forward, very robust, and not overly sweet. Despite the lackluster appearance, this is actually pretty good.
