Clear gold - I should have known better than to order this, but they were out of the Tripel and nothing else looked good - smells resinous and bitter - syrupy texture - tastes like overly sweetened grapefruit, corn syrup, and booze - good if you want to get fucked up, I guess.

What the shit is a German IPA? - anyway - this is an okay beer - malt profile is a bit sweet and lightly husky - sweetness is especially high in the finish, like frosting - bitterness is way to subdued to balance - floral hop flavor is decent - a slight vegetal character on the tail end - hmmm - maybe it’s less than decent.

Tap at the brewery - turbid gold - well-sustained head - seems to sit somewhere between a hefe and a wit - low slickness - soft texture, with medium sweet wheat malt and a mild acidity - a little banana and a white pepper finish - an okay beer, but I would guess wit if I came in blind.

Tap at the brewery - hazy gold, but the pour is lively and kicks up a fair head - as has been noted, this is more like a hoppy golden ale - a little sweet, with a twangy acidity underneath - fairly grainy, with a strong noble hop bitterness - nothing really off besides a light corn quality way underneath it all - meh.
