Description
Funguys Brewing [Pronounced fuhn-gahys]
Our journey from student home brewers to hopeful professional brewers began with a simple statement, “brewers make the wort, yeast makes the beer.” With this statement in mind, we started making IPAs and Saisons on our stove top. Modest recipes with big flavor. A simple idea, until you forget to keep your yeast happy. Our first big recipe we forgot to scale up our yeast addition and the beer turned out awful. All because we forgot about our workhorse. From that day out we knew how important the yeast was not only for fermentation, but for flavor. Our future goals of having a well established sour barrel program is also greatly influenced by the bacteria and yeast added during extended aging. We pay homage to our pillar everyday by keeping it at the root of our company. Funguys is nothing without our workhorse, yeast.
Funguys is also a call to all of the good times we’ve had along the way. We would not be here today if it was not a fun experience. From recipe development, to cracking the grain, to sipping a fresh beer, the whole experience is a roller coaster ride. But each time, we find a new reason to love the process, and we wish to pass that onto you. Drinking beer should be fun and revolve around great times. The two go hand in hand here at Funguys. If you don’t have a good time at Funguys Brewing, we feel you aren’t getting a full experience. So come grab a good beer and have a better time!

Taster at the Grayson Exhibit A(le). Pours a bright, pale, yellow color, with a small, white head. The aroma is papaya, pineapple, wet grass, and nutmeg. Sweet and nicely juicy, with a mild, sticky bitterness. Medium body, crisp, and a bit clingy. Tasty and easy.

Sooo much cobbler flavor. Nice medium tartness from the berry profile. Seriously tasty.
