12 oz. bottle from Total Wine. Pours a crystal clear orange-bronze color with a tight khaki head and great retention. Light lacing. Sweet caramel malt aroma. The taste follows the nose with sweet (but not too sweet) caramel malt flavor throughout. Medium body and medium-light carbonation. No bitterness. Another good, clean, repeatable Marzen.

16oz can from State Line. Orange amber pour, off- white foamy head, lacing. Fruity aroma, wooden, bourbon, orange, caramel. Taste is citrusy with a bourbon edge, caramel. Smooth, strong, balanced.

Cask at GBBF 2023 - Day 1. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a foamy white head. Medium sweet flavour with ripening citrus fruits, sweet pale bread, melon. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, citrus, mild tropical vibes. Not bad.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light creamy sweet malts, a tad thin. Nice smooth piney hops into soft citrus and mild ripe tropical fruits. Light semi dry finish. Not bad at all

Pours black with a small tan head. It smells of chocolate, roast malt, and coffee. The flavor is sweet with lots of chocolate. It avoids straying into sugar bomb territory. There’s some booze evident and it’s full bodied. Very tasty. It could to have a roastier character.

16 ounce can. Deep amber orange color. Rocky, yellowish tan head. Sweet toasted malt aroma brings oaky notes. Flavor upfront is bittersweet with big caramel and bourbon notes. Peppery hops, dark dried fruit, orange marmalade and resiny pine. Warming alcohol in middle. Woody notes in finish. Fairly smooth and drinkable for the style.
