Pour is a dark red with a large tan head. Aroma is plenty of red wine and the accompanying woody barrel. Flavor is some red wine vinouis with a bit of vanilla from the barrel. This leaves a nice smoky and woody feel on the tongue as this goes down. Not as sour as some red Belgians, this is all about the wood this beer rested on.

On draught in Washington D.C. pours copper and clear. Nothing off but nothing outstanding.

Cask gravity @ GBBF 2017. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty piney hoppy bitter grapefruit aroma with woody hints. Fruity malty woody piney hoppy bitter flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty woody piney grapefruit hoppy bitter finish.

Cask at GBBF '18, day 4, 10/08/18. Murky golden orange with a well presented egg shell white covering. Nose is artificial citric notes, bubblegum, mango, Um Bongo rip, sweet malts. Taste comprises Sunny Delight, sweet sticky tropicana - not in a pleasant way, gumballs, sweet sugars. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with sticky hop notes. Not good ... if fake tropical fruits is your thing this beer is for you!

Consumed from a keg at my in-laws property over the course of a weekend. Perhaps not the best beer to think you could session all day, considering the 7.25% abv of it. The beer is more grapefruit than tropical fruit, but it's pretty nice none-the-less even if I was hoping for more tropical fruit notes. Oranges, grapefruit dominate the flavor as well. Very nice, but the alcohol certainly does sneak up on you pretty quickly.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 4/3/2018. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity yeast, citrus peel, pale/wheat malts, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very mild herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness and wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness and balance of fruity yeast, citrus peel, pale/wheat malts, and light earthy hop flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and not cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. A bit too heavy on body. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very good fruited American pale wheat ale. All around nice robustness and balance of fruity yeast, citrus peel, pale/wheat malts, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and and pretty refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV, would have preferred a lighter body. Well balanced rich pale/wheat malts, American wheat yeast, citrus peels, and mild earthy hops against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Dandelion nose. Clear amber, thick head, good lace. Honey and rosehips. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice British malt, compliments and American hop bill well

FCask gravity at GBBF 2018. Cloudy dark amber colour. Wine gum fruit aroma. Pretty good sherbet. Bit just not quite there. Liquidised wine gums.
