What's Your Name Mean?
"Want to play a game?" Used to be our response, but because of our growth and your support we're adding this link to ease your curiosity. No, it's not an acronym. Yes, it is a name! But it's not a combination of ours. In fact, Andrew and Kai are brother-in-laws. Each married to 2 of 3 sisters. Richard's brother is married to the third. And Voila! There it is! We are all family by marriage and bond. Oh, and the name.... is the girl's maiden name! Brownie points

Caramel and dried dates, maybe raisin. Finish has a hint of leather. Pours clear maroon with decent head. Not overly sweet like some doppelbocks. A hint of orange. Tap at Herndon Location.

Cinnamon is big here. Some roast, a little vanilla. Not as much bourbon. Pours black and oily. Cloying tangy finish that sticks with you for a while. Tap at Aslin in Herndon.

Hops up front is very aromatic. Not sure what Erebus hops are, but the smell is kind of like unripe grape, grapeskin, maybe a little pine. Pours clear golden with decent head. Light bitter end with some hop tang. Tap at Herndon taproom.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: burnt orange haziness with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: big does of Citra and Galaxy hops (way bigger than Orange Starfish); seems about the same for the malts
Flavor: blends those noted hops and malts bittersweet and juicy to move into a nice finish of those hops
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper; pretty smooth along the tongue; a touch of creaminess
Overall: I'd have to look at my review of Orange Starfish but as far as I know at this moment that this just the bigger version of that beer. I would definitely have this again.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: bright yellow to orange haziness with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: papaya, mango, pineapple and guava notes with some semi-sweet fruity hoppy tones, light clean malts
Flavor: leans to the sweet side initially then tries to blend some bitter character but seems to go back to being sweet - through all the prior noted aromas; mild finish of papaya & mango sweetness
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper, nice low carb, smooth along the tongue
Overall: if this is a true milkshake IPA then I'm all for it, though the other "milkshake IPA's" all have huge creamy smooth notes, this beer seems just smooth which I'm fine with.

Can to becher pint glass.
Appearance: hazy burnt yellow to orange color with a two finger white foamy head, quickly dissipated to leave mild lace
Aroma: citrusy and tropical hoppiness, subtle pine, clean malts super far down in there
Flavor: bittersweet juicy tropical and citrusy goodness, subtle citrusy aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability, piney/citrusy finish
Overall: I'd say a very nicely done NEIPA worthy of coming back to.
