Colabrown beer with medium beige head. Syrup-like sweetness, roastiness and some sourness in the aroma. Flavour is right a way strogly sweet, surprisingly only weakly roasted or then sweetness hides the roastiness effectively. Some drying bitterness in the aftertaste. Slippery, full-bodied to drink with quite a lot of carbonation. Sweet beer, but still this beer has quite nice balance; for sweet-lovers or haters of roasted beer to familiarise to beer style.

500ml bottle. Midsummer present from Finn, thanks. The pours reveals an attractive deep, rosewood body topped by a dense, fawn coloured head slowly diminishing. Modest aroma of chocolate malts. Slightly roasted grainy chocolate in flavour followed by notes of bittersweet liquorice with a touch of pepper to it. Noticeable, but not distracting, alcohol. Medium bodied. Leaves a fairly decent overall impression (Tromsø, 04.07.2009).
