bottle, bought at the brewery. This is Pernstejns beer for diabetics, with a low content of sugar. Clear golden yellow, large hea.d Malty and hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, beautifully malty with Saaz hops. This one tastes like a decent 10°, no way like a beer for siabetics. Well-balanced, not dry but with quite a nice malty body. Presumably the best diet beer I’ve ever tasted.

bottle, bought at the brewery. Kovár means blacksmith. This is a svetle vycepni pivo with only 3.5% ABV. Clear golden yellow colour, medium-size head. Faint aroma of malt with a touch of fruit. Thin-bodied, malty and slightly hoppy, with a tiny touch of fruit and a very shy sweetness. A thirst-quenching vycepni pivo.

bottle. I wonder if this is the same Granát, as mine was labelled 5,7% ABV. Anyway: amber-brown colour, medium-size head. Flavour of roasted malt, cocoa poweder and a touch of coffee. Not sweet, but with a pleasant amount of hops. A good one.

Kein Geruch.

Etwas nussiger Nachgeschmack. Test vom 7.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,8,9,6,9,7 - 7,80

Big light brown head. Deep dark red body, barely translucent. Light milky licorice aroma with meaty notes. Smoky, burnt licorice and cocoa taste with metallic notes. Milky mouthfeel. The alcohol strength is not noticeable. Warm, peppery licorice and cocoa aftertaste. Unusual. Strange. Not bad. (0.5l bottle. Possibly too old, though BB date is 30 November 2007.)
