Dark brown coloured body with copper highlights and a medium-sized soapy tan head. Aroma of maple syrup, soy sauce, roasted malt, cherries and concord grapes. Medium to Full-bodied; Initial cherry/grape sourness then fades into a sweet molasses/maple syrup flavour all finished by an inherent 'meatiness' stemming from soy sauce. Aftertaste is fairly mild, but some of the bittering characteristics come out near the end. Overall, this one is a pretty good Baltic Porter, but I fancy some American offerings of this style, and of course the Polish :-). I was lucky enough to get this 500 mL bottle in a trade in July (five months prior) with MattA, which I sampled on 22-December-2003. Thanks again Matt!

Black with a light tan head. Aroma of apple, caramel, and orange. Not much carbonation. Sweet with malt taste, a little too sweet for me. Reminded me of a sweet stout.

This has a dark brown color, with not much of a head, but some slight lacing. Smells sweet and roasty. It doesn't seem like much of a porter, especially due to its relatively thin body. It tastes more like a double bock. It's all toffee, caramel and coffee, and it's pretty darn good. Very sweet, with a slightly roasty finish. If you set aside the fact that it is supposed to be a baltic porter and just drink it for what it is, you'll quite enjoy it.

Pale golden. Malty, salty and toffeeish with bitter finish. Tasty and unusual interpretation of the style.

Medium brown. Sugary aroma maybe a bit like Viet coffee only less roasty. Soft, sweet, lightly fruity, caramel, toffee. Almost soothing with its soft sweetness and light liquorice notes. Not all that well made, but neither is it devoid of appeal.
