Pours black, small tanned head. Smell is full, crunchy hazelnut. Taste is full, intense hazelnut, roasty. Medium thick body, medium light carbo. Nice, I'm in love with this kind of hazelnut goodness !

Cocoa nibs- and roasted hazelnuts-flavoured (very) strong stout by this new Greek brewing star, thanks to Etre Gourmet's Jonathan for sharing at BCBF! Open and thin, loose, brownish-tinged beige, eventually completely dissolving head, black robe with hazy mahogany edges. Intense nose of indeed ground hazelnuts, hazelnut paste, hot dark chocolate sauce but also milk chocolate, black coffee, brown rum, black pepper, toffee. Sweet onset, candied dates, light umami accent (beef broth) but very subtle, soft carbonation, full oily body; lovely slick toffeeish and chocolatey malt body with 'powdery' hazelnut effect and dark cocoa in the finish, paired with coffeeish roasted bitterness. A cocoa powder-like effect lingers, with the sweetness remaining dominant over the bitterness, accentuated by a heating afterglow of rum-like alcohol - as can be expected in a beer of this formidable strength, yet fitting into the whole quite well and not becoming overly agressive anywhere. Very well done, by far the best Greek beer I ever had - I can easily see why this young brewery has received so much praise in the past couple of years.
