Bottled. A black beer with a huge but collapsing dark brown beer. The aroma has notes of iodine, smoke, roasted malt, and dried fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and smoke, leading to a dry fnish.

Cloudy deep blond color with medium sized head. Strong aroma, summer fields, chamomile, wild flowers, touch of manure, fruits, spicy yeast; very interesting. Full bodied, with smooth mouthfeel; sweetish flavor, malt with some spicy wheat, earthy character, moderate fruitiness, strong bitterness, soft resins.
Great, one of the two best Storm&Anchor tried so far.

Dark mahogany color with compact head. Nice aroma of caramel with a touch of chestnut honey and firewood. Caramel flavor, nutty, quite bitter; not at all sweet as a real Barley Wine, but still a good, bold and balanced beer.
Very good, elegant.

The amber color is hazy, with huge compact head. Quite strong hop aroma, fruity, not enough, and a touch of toffee. Caramel flavor, very different from the Galaxy had in parallel, cleaner; smooth mouthfeel, drier than Galaxy; god bitterness level, with mild fruity touch, not as much as expected; balanced.
Amazing how the carbonation, more controlled than in Galaxy, grows a huge head without shaking.
Very good, not as hop-forward and hop-fresh as expected.

Cloudy golden color with excessive head, another beer without control. The aroma is lightly spicy an lemony. Good body, malt flavor with some spices, residual sweetness, and an unfortunate vegetables touch; it also has a light fruity impression.
Like an American attempt, good beer, but a bit messy.

Cloudy amber color with the usual excessive head. The aroma is hoppy, also quite yeasty, earthy, with mild animal component, and a touch of cereals and hints of vanilla; very nice. Caramel flavor with the evident bolder rye component, providing more body; strong bitterness, without fruity components, but still with very strong resins; long final.
Very good, would like to try it fresher..

Hazy dark amber color, with compact medium sized head. Nice aroma of caramel and resiny hops, a bit dusty (terreaux), but also with a lemon touch; and later a bit earthy/animal; multi-layered. Good caramel flavor, moderate sweetness, not cloying; full bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel; strong bitterness, with rather high resiny content and less fruity content, but well blended with the rest; an impression of roasted nuts in the end; the final is long, a bit dirty and roasty.
Very enjoyable, harmonious example of the style.

Bright amber color, hazy, with compact head. Mild aroma of malt, with light earthy impression, light apples. Smooth mouthfeel; some malt flavor, with correct bitterness, some hop resins; it seems a bit sweeter than other beers of the series.
A good beer, quite clean, unfortunately too old, apparently.
