Bottle, from trade with KnutAlbert. A dark brown to black beer topped by a dense, brown head. Smoked, ham-like aroma with some chocolate and roasted notes. Smoked, ham-like flavor too, with some bacon and dark chocolate. Full body and a soft carbonation level. Lasting finish with more chocolate and less smoke than in the initial flavor. I’d like a tad more sweetness in this one, else it’s a fine brew indeed. 141213

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and smoke, Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long smoke, roasted and coffee finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Cloudy brown color with a small off white layer. Mild bready and chocolate aroma. Medium body. Fine balance between bitterness and sweetness. Roasted, bready, caramel, mild fruity and some chocolate in the flavor. Hmmm am I starting to enjoy Brown ale? Yeah this was good!
