Sample at Barley’s Ale House #1. The beer pours a slightly hazy amber-orange color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, hops and slight fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and fruit. The finish is roast malt and fruit. Decent overall.

Sample at the GCBA Summer Session on 08/23/2014: Hazy yellow color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, fruit and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity with a mild hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the Grandview Digfest on 06/15/2013: Slightly hazy orange color with a medium foamy white head that dissipates slowly. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of hops, malt and yeast. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, earthy malt and subtle yeast. The finish is hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample from growler. The beer is a clear brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bready malt and hops. Light body with a roasty malt character and notes of mildly bitter herbal hops and caramel. The finish is moderately bitter hops up front with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

The aroma consists of fruity malt, caramel and yeast. Light-bodied with flavors of ripe fruit, caramel malt and yeast. The finish is malty with notes of hops and yeast left behind. Decent overall.
