Sample at the tap room. Clear reddish-copper color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, fruit and spice. Medium body with flavors of roast malt, sweet potato and fruit. The finish is mildly spicy with a malty aftertaste. Interesting beer, decent overall.

Sample at the tap room during the "Zauber Gives Back: Capital Area Humane Society" event. The beer is a cloudy straw color with a medium white head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of wheat, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of wheat, banana and biscuit malt. The finish is sweet with a wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Medium body with flavors of malt, cinnamon, yeast and fruit. The finish is sweet with a malt and spice aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the Grandview Summer Session on 08/22/2015. Hazy pale yellow color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of wheat, spice and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy wheat, fruit and doughy malt. The finish is wheaty with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Light-bodied with flavors of stone fruit, herbal hops and malt. The finish is fruity with a mildly hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Strings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, caramel and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, sweet caramel and mild earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Nitro sample at the taproom during the "Ominous Day" event on 12/20/2014. Pours darkest brown with a medium creamy light beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate in the nose. Light-bodied with a roasty malt character and notes of sweet chocolate and mild coffee. The finish is sweet with a mocha aftertaste. Decent overall.

On draught at the taproom during the "Ominous Day" event on 12/20/2014. The beer pours brown-black with a medium thick creamy light beige head that diminishes gradually. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, anise and dark fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, black licorice and fruity yeast. The finish is dark fruits and malt. Enjoyable beer all around.
