33cl bottle from BillaPlus grocery store in Hainburg an der Donau. Foam is big, egg-white, good retention. Colour is deep gold to amber, hazy. Aroma is malty, bready, bit caramel. Taste is medium malty base, bready, bit caramel, medium carbonation, at least decent bitterness but nothing really special here.

Ein belgisches Gewürzbier, das als Dubbel vertrieben wird. Das mag nett sein, aber irgendwie passt es mir nicht ganz. Die Gewürznoten sind wirklich toll, aber als ausgewogenes Dubbel mit den gemütlichen malzigen Noten würde ich es nicht sehen. Wenn man intensive Gewürznoten sucht, dann ok, aber mir fehlt es an belgischer Urigkeit.

Zu diesem Saison-Bier 2020 gibt es auf dem Etikett schon eine kleine Geschichte: Die Samurai-Dame Witty schwingt ihr Schwert leicht und spritzig und ihr Charme trifft ingwerscharf. Geschmacklich ist es wirklich äußerst würzig -nicht nur nach Ingwer, so finde ich auch Tymian, Rosmarin, Kümmel und Anis. Dazu ordentliche Hefenoten und etwas Pfefferminze. Vielleicht nicht unbedingt meines, aber für Freunde von würzigen Bieren nach Witbier-Stil ein tolles Getränk.

Eingetrübte goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, fruchtig mit Citrus & Grapefruit, etwas Karamell. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Taster at home courtesy of Sander, big thanks. copper / brownish clear color, small off-white head. smells bready, spices, tobacco, grassy, toffee. quite nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes bready, cocoa, toffee, light tobacco, marzipan, bit nutty, caramel. finishes lightly bitter / sweet with notes of marzipan, tobacco and some toffee. unusal, pretty good one.
