Hinter dem Munich Brew Mafia stehen zwei kreative Köpfe, die ihr Handwerk gelernt haben. Als Diplombraumeister und Bier-Sommerlier hat Dario Stieren das Wissen und die Leidenschaft. Da steht ihm sein Geschäftspartner Niklas Zerhoch um nichts nach. Zusammen brechen sie mit Bierkonventionen und ihre Interpretationen eines Craft Beer nehmen eine Reise um die Welt. Technisch ausgefeilt und mit viel Herz für das Brauen gehen sie immer neue Wege und setzen Akzente in der wachsenden Craft Beer Szene. Deshalb sollte man diese zwei jungen ""Mafia"" Paten aus München unbedingt im Auge behalten und sich die ein oder andere Schöpfung von ihnen kaufen. Immer nur so lange der Vorrat reicht - deshalb schnell zuschlagen und genießen.

Aroma has strong urinal cake and citrus. Also mild cereal tones. Flavour has urinal cake, bretta tones and mild grapefruity tones. Foamy palate. Could not locate the smoke, all I can taste is bretta. The only thing related to dubbel here is the mild caramel tones in the finish.

30 IBU, 6%. Tap. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, hoppy, grapefruit. Taste is flowery, chocolate. Silky mouthfeel. Works.

Tap. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is spicy rye, grapefruit, bready, earthy hopspice. Taste is bready, mealy, dead yeast, autolysis. Okay.

Keg at Munich Tap House, 15/07/17. Light haze on a golden yellow pour with a decent off white head that stays for the show. Nose is lemon zest, straw, grains, toasted bread, orange peel. Taste comprises citric sherbets, tangerine, straw, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Decent IPL.

Keg at the Munich Tap House , 15/07/17. Light black with a decent tan head that dissipates in time to a swirl. Nose is toffee, fruit cake, dates, spice, brown bread. Taste comprises fruit loaf, stewed fruits, toffee, spice, brown bread, dates, melted brown sugar. Medium plus bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Decent strong bock.

Draught @ Tap House Münich. Aroma has citrus, some bretta vibes and grass. Flavour has tropical fruits, citrus, some grass and peaches. Also mild mineral tones. Refreshing and easy to drink.

Draught @ Tap House Münich. Pitch black and totally opaque. Aroma has chocolate and rye pudding. Palate is low on CO2. Flavour has rye pudding, some menthol, chocolate and harsh maltiness. Some mellow grassy and grapefruity hops in the finish. Smooth and malty palate. Good.

Bottle. Hazy dark golden, eggshell lacing cream, fine carbonation. Fresh citrus, floral aroma. Medium light dry body, light minerals, bisquit malt, a hint slightly sticky caramel/melanoidin, good fresh citric hop finish. Nice.
