Description
The Knoblach inn has been in Schammelsdorf since 1880 and it has been brewing there for about this long. Today Michael Knoblach is the resident master brewer. The Knoblachs are deeply rooted in their homeland and maintain good contact with regional suppliers and farmers. They attach great importance to preserving and actively promoting the diversity of the Bamberg region. For this purpose, the raw materials are, as far as possible, bought exclusively from the region. This not only has the advantage of boosting the domestic economy, but is also reflected in the quality. The ingredients couldn't be fresher.

500ml bottle. Opalescent, orange, golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, pale malty and slightly floral and fruity aroma, hints of floral honey, a touch of mirabelle, apricot, brioche. Taste is pale malty, rather dry and bitter, minimally floral and fruity hoppy, hints of floral honey, subtle residual sweetness, a touch of mirabelle, apricot. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth, soft and silky palate, fine, soft but efficacious carbonation. Well crafted, very clean, mild, balanced and harmonious, relatively hoppy - very good.

Enormous thanks Motelpogo for sharing this with us! Clear orange-golden body, off-white head. Sweetish aroma, malty, honeyish grainy notes. Lean, pleasant malt-driven taste, clear, dry, lightly flowery, a bit minerally, lovely bitterish finish. An excellent märzen by all means!

Bottle procured at HopDog. Pours clear reddish gold with a nice off-white head. Clear grain nose, freshly cut grass and hints of medium caramel. The flavor is rounded, clean, fresh field malt notes fading into smooth herbal-earthy hop aftertaste that easily balances the remaining sugars. Great Bock.

Das Hell vom Knoblach in Schammelsdorf, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Goldgelb, klar. (2.11.2021.)

Mini party keg. Earthy grain nose, big head, big and smooth bitterness, very nice flavor despite being past its best by date. Really nice lager! Re-rate 1/6/21, from 3.7 to 4.0 on tap at HopDog! Wow!
