Description
The Knoblach inn has been in Schammelsdorf since 1880 and it has been brewing there for about this long. Today Michael Knoblach is the resident master brewer. The Knoblachs are deeply rooted in their homeland and maintain good contact with regional suppliers and farmers. They attach great importance to preserving and actively promoting the diversity of the Bamberg region. For this purpose, the raw materials are, as far as possible, bought exclusively from the region. This not only has the advantage of boosting the domestic economy, but is also reflected in the quality. The ingredients couldn't be fresher.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 07/2020, from Pikkulintu, 20200629) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, sweetness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, light herbalness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy and bitter. A tasty brew with grassy notes and mild sweetness.

50 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 25.06.2020. Aroma has strong hayish and grainy malt. Flavour has honey, grainy malt, menthol, grass and hay. Finishes with lingering herbal bitterness and menthol. Too sweet and the hop profile is not that pleasant; I expected more from this brewery.

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is mild butter, a bit sweet. Taste is mild butter, juicy malts, nothing special, but just tasty Franconian. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Solid!

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is sweet malts, not so much hops, but clean. Taste is honeycomb, sweet malts, not much hops. Chewy mouthfeel. This non-hoppiness is unusual for Knoblach - they usually have much hoppier beers. But hey, it's clean!
