From tap at Café Abseits, Bamberg. Aroma is bready caramel malt with cereal, a touch of hay, toasted and earthy notes. Flavour is mild sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Decent Keller, dominant caramel malt, could be a little more outspoken aromatically though.

Bottle from Meibier. Aroma is toasted malt, dark bread, caramel, earthy and roasty notes, and to steal an observation: burnt breadcrust. Flavour is pretty bitter with a moderate sweetness. Body is medium. Quite the rustic Franconian Märzen, unique.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Malty aroma with caramel, darkish bread, picking up some metallic notes. Lightly nutty. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Body is medium. Bittersweet, plenty of caramalt, good.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Clear bronze colour, mid sized head. Bready malt and faint grassy hops up front, Mid dry with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Gentle bready malt, some hay. Mid bitter finish.
