Bamberg Bash Day 2. Cafe Abseits tasting. Very dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Light touch of dark malts, no roast or bitterness. Good vanilla and light spice. Touch of caramel. Dry finish. Delicious!

Bottle shared by Blomster on the crazy bus. First beer opened about 10 seconds after pulling out of Aloft. Pours dark brown with brown head. Nose and taste of coffee, light dark fruit, old chocolate and touch of alcohol. Medium body.

Bottle on RBWG 2014 bus. Pours a hazy dark brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has nice dark grain with a bit of roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor has more of a silky milk chocolate with dark grains and a bit of barrel coming through.

Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, Cafe Abseits Tasting bottle (2013 vintage), big thanks to Ronny, rlgk 25/01/14. Dark mahogony brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is dark toffee, earthy cocoa, booze, chocolate, musty undertones. Taste comprises rich chocolate, dark malt, toffee fudge, roasty underpin, very subtle oaky booze, simple but tasty. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying finale with a splash of booze. Good stuff.
