Bottle at home. Clear golden color, full sized bubbly soapy white head. Aroma is malts, yeast, straw. Flavor is malts, straw-ish grainy, straw-malty bitter, bitter. Nothing rwlly stand out but overall I'd say no mistakes. Bit one sided but not bad.

Hazy amber colour, white foam. Caramel, ripe fruit, bitter earthiness, some citrussy notes. Lively carbonation. Not very nice.

The new “city beer” of Tongeren (the oldest city of Belgium), since autumn last year. Commissioned at the new Amburix brewery, erected in the exact same site where previously Amburon was located (before its bankruptcy), by the guys behind the Halen and Broeder Jacob brands. Medium thick, egg-white, lightly lacing, stable head on a hazy peach blonde beer with pale orangey tinge. Aroma of ripe peach, honey, banana, brioche bread, grass, vague caramel. Fruity onset, sweet with notes of ripe apricot, banana and pear, sharply carbonated (numbing even); sweet-bready and lightly caramelly malt sweet core balanced by a grassy, quite long and eventually even somewhat rooty hop bitterness. Another cliché blonde – the average Belgian consumer can never get enough of this genre, it seems – but admittedly well made, if perhaps a bit overcarbonated even for this style.
