Couleur pâle, col épais crémeux pâle/blanc-cassé.
Arôme sur un bouquet très classique des US - Simcoe se fait la part belle avec un résineux très dominant avec un généreux pamplemousse / Orange sanguine qui arrivent en rétro-nasal. Léger effet poudreux / pellet qui perce également. Impression d'un léger rétro-nasal de sucre résiduel rappelant le sucre cassonade;
Palais sur sa base maltée vient rappeler une bonne grosse DIPA classique américaine. C'est une claque et un flashback sur 2005. Le tout est axé sur de belles notes de résineux - pamplemousse, orange confite. Le volet agrumes de pamplemousse pressé revient en retrait avec une belle teneur de malt - amertume tranchante presque sur un côté pulpe acidulée. Fin de bouche sur un léger malté grillé/sucre candi.

--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Clear bronze colour, small head. Bready leafy nose. Dry with light body and crisp mouthfeel. Crisp bread, leaf and hay. Long balanced bitterness. A pleasant, very English, bitter.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 1 Apr 2023) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, orange and peaches. Fruity, hoppy taste with peaches, orange, grass, white bread and a mild citric/grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Kopparfärgad med tätt skum. Doft av mörkt bröd, farin och brie-ost. Rostad smak med inslag av farin, torkade plommon och humle. Trevlig öl.

33cl bottle at Strawberry Uppsala. Pours slightly hazy amber with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma with pine, herbs and ripe fruits. Medium to moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Tasty and enjoyable.

33cl can achetée lors de notre voyage en Suède. En célébration des 30 ans de Oliver Twist, bar bien connu de Stockholm.
BB 13/04/2024, lot# 2308VIV.
Dorée pâle, col fin crémeux blanc.
Arôme est tout aussi dank avec un léger caractère de résineux, groseille verte, tequila. Cette dernière vient un peu reprendre des points sur l'apport des houblons. Point ede 'alcohol heat' de la barrique, et ce malgré les 6%.
Palais est dank, avec de suite un caractère houblonné très américain classique. Le tout est plutôt épais, côté avoine, repris par un houblonné fruité surfant sur le tropical avec un côté mangue, papaye, fruits ) noyaux (pêche) avec une rappel de noix de coco - le tout démarre plutôt bien. Par après, cela devient un peu plus brouillon avec un malté qui revient à la charge. Léger fini boisé ajoutant à la note sèche/poussiéreuse.
L'apport de barrique de Tequila est discret et ne vient pas prendre le dessus, au pire, cela donne une certaine fraicheur en bouche. Fini assez sec.
