Heavily waxed (near bullet proof) 50cl bottle, purchased at the original North Park location, pours with a murky rutty mahogany colored body that supports a modest light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up molasses and brown sugar like reduced sugars, smooth candy like bourbon and then molasses covered plums and blueberries. Nice. The taste does not disappoint as I get inviting rich smooth slick sweet malts bleeding quickly into bourbon infused molasses. To midway the reduced sugars begin to take the form of the butterscotch candy treatment and it continues to work really well with the base beer and barrel treatment. It smoothly heads into the finish all the while hiding the large ABV. I'm sure glad I grabbed one of these but maybe I should have bought a bottle of each variant. This is goooood.

Pours a hazy, lemon juice yellow, with minimal head. Aroma is citrus and more citrus, with some tropical fruit notes. Flavors follow. Surprisingly, given the high ABV, the alcohol content is pretty well-hidden on this one, in both aroma and flavor (there is some burn, though not much). Soft mouthfeel. A fairly mild level of hop bitterness in the finish.
