Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque black with a solid and dense, brownish head leaving some lacework. Clean roast aroma with a hint of vanilla. Solid body, again a pleasant, clean roastiness with plenty of sweet licorice - not that the beer is overly sweet. Roasty bitter finish. Well made. 270665

On tap at Skaal. Pours dark brown. Dry roasted malts and burnt coffee on the nose. Flavour has roasted malts, toasted coffee. Fairly simple, but not bad.

On tap at Skaal, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has a perfumey whiskey barrel character upfront, with bready malt and dry toasted notes. Flavour is harsh and dry, with some alcohol fumes, harsh whiskey barrels, and toasted bready malt. Confused and muddled, with a rather harsh barrel character. Not good.
Weirdly smoky, roasty. Taste is along the same lines. Meh.

Bottle 500ml @ My sister's place. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, brunt, ash and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long chocolate, licorice, roasted and burnt finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
