Definitely a lot of coffee. Some cream. Not a lot of body behind it. Coffee and cream like Tim Horton’s. Some sweet caramel. Creamy consistency. Tap.

There were 6 beers at the Tap Social at State Line and this beer stood out the most for me, enough to get a half growler. Orange hue of golden color. Forthy IPA head with light lacing as it fades away. Aroma is fruit and bitter hops, fruit outweighing the bitterness. Clean malt background, very centered and clean hops. Flavor has a stronger bitter character but not acrid, not overwhelming, and the background becomes fruit hops. Bitter hops finish. Clean, hoppy, bitter, right down the middle of the road.

Tap Social at State Line. Ummm, this is horrid. I think and imperial cream ale is the same as malt liquor and this is a bad version. Corn and alcohol foundation with an artificial vanilla and roast aroma. It’s basically vanilla flavored corn beer malt liquor. Looks like malt liquor as well. Boo.

Tap Social at State Line. Looks like black berry baby vomit. Light purple mud. The black berry purée dominates. Just bitterness of hops peaks out through that. So, it’s unsweet berry fruits with sweet fruity hoppiness and bitterness peaking out. Flavor is more melded constant bitterness in conjunction with the blackberry. Weird for me, like a biter blackberry beer and I might prefer the base IPA or just a blackberry blonde or something.

Goblet at Meridian Pint. Never had a cup of sizzurp, but I imagine this is what it would look like. Neon purple, muddy, just a couple of bubbles of head. Does not look real appetizing, but thankfully, that is where the invective ends. Nose is bright and very inviting, crushed berry smoothie, light berry patch without the funk, a little candy, some chewing gum, guava, mango, a little green vanilla, sorbet. Flavor departs entirely from an IPA, but who cares. Black and blueberries, berry smoothie, a little vanilla, some condensed milk, guava, mango, some very ripe melon, some tangerine lurking. Creamy, fruity finish. Really enjoyable and very drinkable.

Very nicely done like Argentine steak. Mango and light pine with some tangerine and green onion. Golden, slightly hazy pour with head and great lacing. Bitter finish with a hint of caramel. Tap at Meridian Pint.
