The Ministry Of Belgian Beer

This may sound ridiculous to fans of IPAs and other top-fermented beers, but it's not. The beers of Dimitri and Koen have nothing to envy to the specialty beers.
They revisited this style which was strongly perverted in Belgium by the thirst for profits of industrial breweries. Forget the Jupilers, Maes and other flavorless beers. The Ministry of Belgian Beer has reappropriated this style and declined it into several products, each with their own identity.
It was bold to start a brewery that only produces bottom fermentation, but they put all their knowledge into it, and it worked! Beer-geeks are fans, pilsner 13 is always nice to drink at beer festivals, to rinse your palate or just to quench your thirst.
In addition Koen and Dimitri are co-founders of another brewery which is even more successful, the DOK Brewing Co. In love with their region, they have consciously kept a brewery which only does bottom fermentation and invested in another for the high fermentation beers they wish to produce.

Oranjeachtig geel bier, licht troebel en matig schuim dat nog redelijk blijft staan.
Weinig aroma, ietsje mout en een beetje fruit.
Smaak is licht hoppig en een beetje fruitig.
Jammer dat de smaak snel weg ebt zoals we van pils gewend zijn.

Vintage fles gedeeld door Inoven (8 jaar voorbij t.h.t.). Het is een troebel oranje geel bier met een medium beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van mout, gist en hop. De smaak is vol moutig, zacht zoet en fruitig met een licht hoppige afdronk.

Fles vintage (8 jaar over t.h.t) gedeeld door Inoven, het is een licht troebel goudgeel bier met een medium witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een licht moutige en gist achtige geur. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet en licht hoppig. Nog bijzonder goed te drinken na al die tijd.

Bottle 25cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Clear pale golden colour, tall frothy white head, good retention, collapses unevenly, heavy lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, grain, some lime, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grainy, yeast. Light to medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, mineral notes, clean and crisp, perhaps too dry for a pilsner, nice.
