Description
Pioneers of craft brewing in Croatia! Like Americas breweries, we started craft beer revolution in Croatia, because we want to refresh beer offer in Croatian market. Currently, customers can only buy boring domestic Euro lagers - but not for long!!

As awarded homebrewers, we are passionate about our ales, and we would like to give opportunity to Croatian consumers to enjoy in our beers. Making beers because of quality and flavor, and not because of the cash flow :). Our portfolio will be from cask ales to craft kegs!

Let's start together - Croatian craft beer revolution!!!!

On tap at BeerYard Festival, Zagreb. It poured a hazy darker brown body with medium sized brownish head. Fine caramel aroma with light coffee and nettle notes. Flavor was sweet and lightly bitter, overwhelmed with nettle, with nice balance between toasted and roasted malts - caramel, chocolate, coffee, licorice that goes back to dominating nettle. Medium bodied with a long finish that reflected the flavor complexity and added a bit of herbal hops. Or maybe that’s only how the nettle behaves. Very interesting combination, I adored the coffee profile as it blended nicely with this spice. I guess it varies a little bit every year, but this one was, in my preference, a great home run! Very well done!

On tap at BeerYard Festival, Zagreb. It happened to be my Croatian #200, yay, never though that count would go so far! It poured a very hazy orange body with almost no head. Weak but fine malty aroma with biscuit, sugar, some orange juice on the sweeter side with some light crisp citrus notes. Cascade, yeah, it could be. Flavor was very lightly bitter with quite lot of yeasty chalk overwhelming it, while sweetness was strong, too, the sugary and candy cloying one, almost dominating over shy herbal bitterness. Otherwise lightly citric, both crisp lemony and sweet fruity just like in the aroma. Thin in body despite some complexity with long, but simple chalky finish. Okay, but a bit weak and too chalky.

Winter Edition - 2017. On tap at Craft Room. Murky amber-red body with an off whtie head. Caramel, fruity, bubblegum aroma, light herbal touches. Light herbal hops on vague fruity notes, more malty than anything, vaguely bready and with a bitterish finish. Okay overall, but not ideal. 6-7/3/6-7-3-12Summer Edition - 2016.On tap at BeerYard. Murky amber with a tiny white head. Nice, light aroma, lime, herbal, grassy notes, good Cascade presence i guess. Quite fine taste, good lime notes, citric herbal, candyish, quite tasty. Lasting bitter finish and aftertaste. Very solid Pale Ale, actually dug it. 7/2/7/4/15. Note: The summer edition in 2017 had mild problems, and was not representative.

Jun. ’16. On tap at Leopold’s, Split. It poured a hazy amber body with medium sized head. Very nice aroma, tropical fruit, sweet orange. Bitter, lightly herbal and grassy flavor. A bit too grassy, which, accordingly left some soapy off flavor as its only flaw. Malt counterpart was notable, but very weak, quickly overwhelmed by the bitterness. Malt was biscuit and sweeter fruity. Medium bodied. Extremely long, bitter grassy and dry herbal finish. A very fine beer, but not that good as I’ve expected.

Aug. ’15. On tap at Hmeljevo festival, Split. This one turned out to be a hard nut to find, at least before. It poured a hazy brown body with tiny head atop. Pleasantly roasted malt with decent amount of hops in aroma. Coffee and herbal basically. Lightly bitter flavor, orange (citrus) hops and roasted coffee, caramel and dark fruit malt. Medium to thin in body with not so long finish, but very smooth and balanced. Dark chocolate picked up in the aftertaste. I would prefer more body, but it’s a fine hoppy brown ale anyway.

Aug. ’15. On tap at Leopold’s, Split. I thought this one was brewed in Montenegro, at least I’ve been told so. Anyway, it poured very dark, almost black body with medium sized brown head. Aroma was quite weak, roasted malt, strong mineral water, lightly on the sweeter side. Flavor was shifted a bit to the bitter side, roasted elegantly with coffee smoothed with cocoa, dark fruits etc. A bit yeasty as it got warmed. Thin to medium body with a nice chocolate malt emerging in its finish. Very pleasant, just I would prefer more body.
