Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is tart apple with blackthorn. Tart and mildly sourish flavour with a dry finish. Medium body. The blackthorn really adds an extra dimension to this fine Cider.

0.33 l bottle from 'Just in Beer', 2022 vintage. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a little sourish, quite fruity aroma of ripe apple, light pear and a touch of hay. A little sweet, minimally sourish, quite fruity, dry and a little funky taste of ripe apple, some hay and hints of pear, followed by a short, minimally tart, fairly woody-dry finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Refreshing cider, nicely dry, somehow not as funky as expected for a wild cider, therefore also not overly complex. Still a pleasant beverage.
