Bottle 50 cl. Another beer these good people didn't quite get right - at least when it comes to strength, as 5% for an Imperial Stout must be said to be somewhat modest. But it takes time to get to know your new equipment. It pours pretty thick though. Completely opaque black with a creamy, light brown head. Sweet roast and vanilla in the nose, perhaps a wee smoky hint. Body seems rich for 5%, roasted indeed, lightly sweet vanilla accents and again a hint of smoke. Very smooth on the palate. Sweet licorice finish. It certainly appears richer than 5%, but no matter what, it's simply a lovely and very well made Stout. Very enjoyable and drinkable. 300622

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with a small, beige head. Biscuit and toffee in the nose. Rich, sweet, malty body, caramel and crystal malts galore. Just enough bitterness to be balanced. At 7,4% this obviously took off for them if they wanted to simply make an Amber Ale. Tis is way more potent, but I find it very enjoyable and flawless. A malt lover's beer. 300622

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a creamy, white head. Sweet malty nose with a hint of sulphur. Medium body, rich, sweet malt with a vague hint of tartness. Hoppy but never bitter finish. Decent. 210622

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a smallish, beige head. Sweet caramel aroma and Xmas spices, cinnamon in particular. Rich, sweet, malty body. Toffee and caramel, a hint of roast. Works quite well as a Christmas beer, rich and strong but never over done. Sort of a spiced English Strong Ale. 020622

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a roughish, white head. Cabbage aroma and subtle citrus. Medium body, a very dry fruitiness and a bitter finish. Underwhelming aroma wise. 010622

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a solid and lacing off-white head. Sweet, malty caramel and molasses notes with a faint hint of smoke. Rich and warming, malty body, caramel, nuts and a roasty touch. Again an edge of smoke. Sufficient bitterness. Clean and well made and seemingly no smoked malts were used. 160522

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a small, wite head. Nis sweet fruity with some greasy hops. Medium body, rather sweet malts with an odd, ashy note and a very potent finishing bitterness. Not really a NEIPA at all. 110522
