Description

Pirula manufactures wines, ciders, beers and distilled alcoholic drinks. We organise various tasting sessions and tours upon request.

Pirula is an award-winning family-owned boutique winery located in Ylistaro, Finland with Pelmaa’s traitional heritage landscape by the river Kyröjoki. We specialize in berry wines, ciders, beers, whiskies and other distilled spirits. The estate includes several historical buildings where we use as a bar/restaurant, a shop, and areas for production. Meeting rooms, sauna, fully equipped professional kitchen, and accommodation spaces are available upon request. We also organize various tasting sessions and tours of Pirula.

33cl bottle. Vasa tasting.
Poured clear and golden. No head.
Apple ski and red apples mostly. Sweetish but pretty drinkable.

Cider World Expo 2025 Frankfurt. A clear golden yellow colour. Aroma and Taste of sweet apples, honey, pears. Honey and some juicy apples.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Clear pale amber, lively head. Aroma of musky garbage, with some lemon. Citric with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Musky flavour, odd garbage like. Citric acid. Some apple skin bitterness. Weird.

Bottle (thanks Pete!). Amber colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is grapes, some mild wood and a bit mineralic tones to it. Flavour is tartish grapes, some mild wood, minerals and a bit herbal tones too.

Bottle (thanks Pete!). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is white currant, some tart wood and quite pleasant. Flavour is white currant, rather dry palate and some mild wooden tones.
