CBHWS2025. Hazy yellow colour with a small creamy white head. Aroma is citrus, some tropical fruits, nectar and mild oats. Flavour is citrus, tropical fruits, nectar, oats and some herbal tones. Smooth palate.

Tap @ Cirkus, Stavanger. Practically pitch black body without any head. Strong aroma of dark malt, wood, warming alcohol and hint of chocolate. Flavor is super smooth, medium roasted dark malt, sweet and bitter dark chocolate, wood, balanced bitterness and warming alcohol in a boozy but not unpleasant way. Full bodied and long lasting aftertaste. Really nice and amazingly smooth for this high ABV. Tend to think that most beers above 12% is unnecessary but this is just amazing.

2019 vintage. pours deep and dark brown to black, very small, relatively stable off-white head. Scent is Bourbon barrels, some age (not necessarily negative though) bit chocolate-like 'dark malts' but nowhere near a stout for sure. Taste is full-on and intense, to the sweet side, loud bourbon barrels but not boozy (at all). Rich, thick maltyness. Milder on the dried fruit, tad more dark malts than the general BW. Quite good ! Even though its 5 years old, this is not a day to old, and I actually expect it was a bit more boozy at the start, making this the potentialy ideal drinking window.

Tap at Csakajo. The coffee is very dominant, and I’m all for it. Admittedly a sucker for coffee in pale beers, this works just fine for me
