Description
Bringing Hastings back to its brewing roots.
Hastings, Minnesota has a rich history of brewing that dates as far back as the late 1800s. In 1919, Prohibition decimated the brewery scene across the country, and a town once home to at least four thriving local breweries hasn’t seen one since. Until now.

Aromas are mild tart orange and pomegranate. Flavors are like nose, even more tart than they are fruity but still modestly tart. Okay body and carbonation. Not bad but nothing special.

Aromas are pale malt, some spice and a little hops. Flavors are similar to nose, good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Add in a touch of lemon. Good body and clean finish. Very drinkable.

Aromas are somewhat subdued resin hops with a little citrus and a touch of malt. Flavors are similar to nose, good balance between sweet, bitter and carbonation. Add in a little cereal and a slightly sweet finish. Good body and a decent beer overall but not great.

Pint can from Historic Casanova, 8/15/20. Hazy copper, large tan head, good retention. Aroma of dank, lemon, sweaty socks. Taste is cherry, berry, resin, tropical fruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, low to medium bitterness. A little weird and disjointed, but solid nonetheless.

Pint can from Historic Casanova, 8/12/20. Murky orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of passionfruit, pale malt. Taste is passionfruit, mango, grapefruit, earth. Pale malt. Low bitterness and juicy. But something heavy I can't quite pinpoint. It's weird and it fills me with dread (probably because I'm watching the X-files), but its decent.
