Description
Dawno, dawno temu trzej czcigodni rycerze posilali się po trudach turnieju rycerskiego w karczmie mojego pradziada. Jeden z nich poprosił karczmarza o mleko z miodem, bo strasznie go nap... bolało gardło. Pradziad mój znał lepszy specyfik na taką przypadłość i podał strudzonemu wojowi piwo ze szczyptą soli. Napój przyniósł szybką ulgę i w podzięce szlachetny rycerz nadał mojemu pradziadowi nazwisko SOLIPIWKO. Przynajmniej tak słyszałem ;-)

Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours black with a small frothy mocha head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with roasted malts, bread, caramel, charred wood, coffee, chocolate, toasted coconut, moist soil and bourbon alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, very tiny sour and malty. Mouthfeel is soft, round, velvety, astringent, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, charred wood, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, roasted coconut, moist soil and hints of bourbon alcohol. Bottle at a tasting. Interesting hops profile, lots of flowers, light zesty citruses, pomelo. Easy drinking, rather thin bodied. Very light maltiness making up the background. Quite good one.

Butelka 330ml (10.12.2016). Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Jednym słowem balans to majstersztyk. Pij małymi łyczkami delektując się tym "mlecznym" nektarem.

Cellar clean out session Pt Deux. Cascade, Chinook, Citra and Simcoe hops. Opaque black - brown beer good pale tan head. Palate is airy and dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, sweet malt cream and contrasting bitter roast. Mellow dark chocolate. Light hop skunk. Touch of tropical fruits. Tangy semi dry finish. Not bad.

Great dark appearance, aroma of balanced bourbon and sweet dark malts typical for a milk stout. This balanced combination gives a coccnut like impression, no hints of alcohol nor sourness which are often present in barrel aged beers. Sweetness of the beer disguises its not so high plato (although its a double milk stout not a milk ris) and it results with quiet rich aroma and taste, both lactose, nice dark malts of cappucino and sweet cocoa. Amazing aroma, degustative and rich palate, very drinkable, one of the best barrel aged beers in Poland.

Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and mildly dry. Decent fine carbonation. Rich fluffy dark malts, good dark chocolate. Nice tangy fruity bourbon. Little barrel vanilla. Mild spice. Smooth bourbon finish. Very nice, very smooth and I would have believed this could have come from any number of US breweries.

Draught @ Tap House / Pracownia Piwa, Kraków. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt, roast and vanilla, with notes of yeast. Sweetish flavour of malt, chocolate and lactose, with notes of vanilla and roast pervading the tasting experience. Barrellike and estery aftertaste with some fruity hints. Low carbonation, but it does not matter. Decent.
