Taste starts with moderate sweet roasted malt with herbal notes, follows by chocolate and coffee, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Nice breakfast beer...

Bottle 500ml. [ As Solipiwko 1978 ].Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, smoke - sweet smoke, meat - bacon. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, bacon, sweet smoke, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150411]

Bottle shared by Gurthnar, many thanks. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee in aroma. Caramel, burned sugar, coffee, chocolate. Good.

Bottle. Aroma . Very dark colour. Tastes quite assertively hoppy, spicy, herbal notes, extending well into a long hoppy finish. Milky element overpowered, roastiness not so much, nevertheless a boldly hopped stout. Good one though.

Bottle from Piwoszek. A very clean and very good example of rauchbock. Strong smoky aroma and flavour, coming very close to traditional Schlenkerlas from Bamberg. Rather full body, chewy mouthfeel, this beer is all over the place. While smokiness is all I get, it somehow does not feel single-dimensional. Or maybe it is just because these beers are supposed to be this way. All in all very good one, I would definitely like more.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, grass - dusty grass, light wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, wood, dark malt, hoppy, dusty grass, light to moderate licorice, meduim dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150410]

Bottle, 6.7%. Citric and fruity aroma, but the smoke note dominates. Almost clear dark copper colour bordering on reddish brown. Small stable tan head. The flavour starts off a lot like the aroma, fruity and citric. And again, the smoke takes over nicely. A good malt body, nice and sweetish. The smoke is distinct but does not take over completely.
