Thank you tderoeck! Sampled draft @ VCBF 2017. Bark brown to black, creamy mocha head. Nose is nice cheesy mocha head, good pine resin & citrus hop. Taste is bitter roast, cheesy, grapefruit peel, herbal roots, chocolate, cacao, bitter herbs finish, doesn’t come entirely together but overall quite a nice one. Lightly grainy, bitter hops body.

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty roasted, malty, mocha, cocoa powder, coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: coffee, soft roast, caramel, bit sweet, sourish touch. Aftertaste: bitter hops, roasted, some coffee, grains, not very impressed by this one.

Taste: roasted start, pretty hoppy, malty, caramel, bitter hops, coffee. Aftertaste: roasted, very bitter, hoppy, grains, malty, coffee, roasted finish.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Winterthur. Pours lightly cloudy amber. Aroma is citric, pine, grass, little onion and butter. Body is medium, rather sweet, a little bitter, with a light lively carbonation. Little oily texture. Rather sweet palate. Juicy and good!

At Zurich Bier Festival 2017. Pours black with a little head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Heavy body, roasted, sweet, sticky, late bitterness. Medium bitter palate. Good.

Bottle from Erzbierschof Zurich. Pours clear amber. Lots of piney hops, some grass too. And caramel and toasted malts, surprisingly. Body is medium, with both a strong bitterness and residual sweetness. Quite punchy. Lively carbonation into a malty palate, still going strong on the bitterness. Nice, but the caramel and toasted malts are a bit too much for my IPA taste.

Bottle from Erzbierschof Zurich. Pours hazy light amber. Lots of lawn and grass in the aroma, light citrus. Light body with a strong bitterness, mostly in the back of the mouth. Lively but not pushing carbonation. Mouthfeel is quite raw through the bitterness. Palate is dry-ish and of medium length. Quite nice, but lacking balance.
