Bottle, 1996 vintage. Almost clear, light brown in color and with a minimal sized off-white head. Meaty, malty aroma with dried fruit notes, prunes, some burnt hints and a distinct oxidation note that doesn’t do any harm. It’s sweet on the palate, full-bodied and not as warming as I’d expect. Some pine cone notes, as well as wort, malts and raisins. Lasting finish. A really wonderful one, surviving all the cellar years very well. Pity it’s gone now. 130111

Piwo w puszce. Lekko metaliczny smak i lekka wodnistość to pierwsze wrażenia po degustacji. Innych cech w smaku nie wyczuwam. Zapach drożdzowo-słodowy, nut chmielowo-goryczkowych brak.

1993 bottle. Pours a dark copper color with no head, oily. A wonderful nose of plums, malt, sugars, sweet brown sugar, cake. The flavor is very good and certainly shows the 19 years: sweet sugars, a bit of heat, some cardboard sourness from oxidation, plum and port, sweet rich malts, actually quite hot. Lots of age, but holds up quite well. Tasty. No body.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear pale golden. Evident cardboard aroma. Sweetish with light body and clean mouthfeel. Somewhat syrupy with sourisy vegetables and paper dissolved in dishwater. No bitterness. Typical non-refreshing Carlsberg-y industrial lager.

Appearance: Golden, slightly orange. Clear. Small amount of white head. Aroma: Some malt - not much really. Taste: Again some malt and hops, but mostly watery and a bit artificial. Info: 330ml bottle, 10/12-2011

Bottle at Brasserie Fédéral in Zürich. The beer is a clear golden color with a medium thin and foamy white head that diminishes to a film steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet malt and grassy hops. Light body with a mild floral and grassy hops character underscored by sweet malt. The finish is short and lightly hoppy. Barely average overall.
