On tap at the Mountain Brewers’ Fest 2013. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A big nose of grains and light lemon. The flavor is solid: hay, dusty, very dry, lemon and zesty fruit, some clean fruity flavors in the finish. Good and very drinkable.

On tap at the Mountain Brewers’ Fest 2013. Pours a pure black color with a small white head. A big nose of whiskey and especially sour mash. The flavor is great: big barrel, low vanilla and boozy sweetness more sour mash and woodiness, some roast, chocolate. Very flavorful and excellent.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of ditmier. Pours a cloudy opaque nutty brown with an off-white head. Sweet toasty toffeeish aroma with quite some hops. Solid body, a very typical American malt profile of crystal malts and a note of licorice allsorts. The heavy hops become more evident toward the finish but everything in this well made Barley Wine is in fine balance. 030412
