On tap at Sockeye Boise. Pours out a crisp clear gold topped with a creamy off white head. Aroma was of floral hops, sweet malts, and a little grass. Taste was more of the floral notes along with a little bread. It finished off with a light bitter end. I like the idea of having two of our local breweries doing a collaboration.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy redish brown with a thin light tan head that quickly receded to a thin line around he rim of the sniffter. Sweet woody malt aroma. Woody an earthy flavors with a alictly sour pitted fruit slant. Missing the full heavy high FG of my faces of the style. An unfiltered feel. Softly carbonated and a little ABV burn, but does not betray the 11+% it reportedly touts.

On tap at Sockeye Boise. This was one of there small batch fun beers. Pours out dark brown topped with a creamy tan head. Aroma was nice vanilla, oak, light whisky, and chocolate. Taste much as the aroma a nice sweet milk chocolate with that little whiskey kick. One downer was it was pretty thin.

On tap at the BP. Clear orange-copper with a modest bur dense an lasting off-white head. Big fruity citrusy hop aroma. Tangerines and grapefruit. Biting bitter taste. Lots of IBUs and enough of that hop flavor to make the aroma more of a promise than a tease. Bready malty notes follow with a long bitter slightly soapy trailer. Could have used a little more malt backbone but it is showcasing the hops... Which it is supposed to do. Not bad,

On tap at the Sockeye brewpub and the Front Door pouring up clear ruby red hued mahogany with tan head. The aroma is full pushing up caramel and rich hazel nut out of the glass as well as slightly lesser notes of some butterscotch and a bit of deep dark fruitiness. The taste is rich with sweet syrupy hazel nut like nuttiness mixing with caramel and a touch of butterscotch. I also get a thin layer of pine hop bitterness coming to the surface every now and then. After a few ounces are consumed it seems to get a little rough with booziness and then getting rounded out by a mild level of drying malt roastiness. I would love to try this with more age where it may reach its full potential. Nice Brew!

On tap at Sockeye Brew Pub Boise, Pours out a brownish amber topped with a small ring head. Aroma is sweet right off the nose. Caramel, citrus hops, and pitfruit. Taste is much as the aroma but the hops are full on bitter grapefruit. A little black licorice on the end. A little more time.

On nitro tap at the Sockeye brewpub looking inky darkness holding up a lasting tight mocha head. The aroma is a pleasing note of chocolate and caramel covered graham cracker. The taste is smooth and slowly bringing on notes of dark roasted malts and chocolate. It stays even and smooth but picks up a dash of caramel and earthiness into the finish. Nice chocolaty stout.

On tap at the Sockeye brewpub pouring deep dark brown with tan head. The aroma is a mix of burnt malts and sweet black licorice rolling into chocolate and a touch of caramel. The taste is pretty sweet with malts heading toward some chocolate and dark roasted malts. Into the finish it picks up a pleasing sense of earthiness.

On tap at the Sockeye brewpub pouring copper with gold edges and a touch of haze to go along with lasting light tan head and sticky sheet lacing. The modest aroma is sweet with malts and then moving toward notes of citrus hops. The taste is to style with up front hop bitterness coming from spice to citrus and then toward slightly resiny hoppiness. Building into the finish it creates a dry sensation with the resiny hops and a touch of malt roastiness. The after taste sees some malt sweetness roll off yet a thin layer of hop bitterness persists.
