We are a brewery, taproom, and beer garden in the Scott's Addition neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia.

Ardent Craft Ales began as a co-op in a Richmond garage, a space where we sought to create innovative beers and introduce others to historic brewing methods and beer styles. As a production brewery, our mission remains the same: to produce and celebrate exceptional and ambitious beers with the ever-growing craft beer community.

Tap at Half Barrel. Today was cool by Florida standards so get ya imp stout on. Dark black pour fine purplish head. Nose is chocolate and dark fruits. Tastes of molasses, milky chocolate, soy sauce, fig. Smooth palate.

New plastic, rubber funk smell, white grape underneath. Clear golden, greenish hue, medium head. Farmhouse funk, bread crust. Little hop or hefeweizen character. Light body, moderate carbonation.

Pounder: Lilly and scallion nose. Shimmering amber, medium head. Very floral lilly and lemongrass. Medium body, easy carbonation. Intense.

$4.10 bottle, WW. Gold pour with a small white head. Sage dominates with nose followed by hay, grasses, yeast. Flavor is sage, yeast, grasses, green leaf. Not getting any sweet potato, but perhaps it's the backbone that ties the beer together.
