33 cl bottle @ Paja Bar, Tampere. BBE 11/2015 Aroma has salty licorice and soy sauce. Also herbal tones. Flavour has cocoa, dark chocolate, salty licorice, some soy sauce and hints of herbs. Also some tobacco. Palate is low on CO2. Alcohol is present in palate and taste, but does not disturb. Too salty but not bad still.

Aroma is rather mild with some toffee. No CO2 at all on palate. Flavour has toffee, ripe fruits and some hayish malt. Finishes with mellow hops. A bit messy, would not recognize this as a bitter. Straightforward and easy to drink though.

Aroma has licorice, some bready malt and mellow resiny tones. Also grapefruit-like hops. Flavour has ash, licorice, some saltiness and peat. Finishes with mellow lingering hops. Too ashy and dry. Clean and better than I expected still.

Opaque black color, small beige head. Aroma is toasted, a bit sweet milky with hints of licorice. LIght to medium-bodied. Soft roastyness with light licorice notes. Later some bitterness. Clean, stylish light stout. But as usual 4.5% is a bit too low for these. Seems that this is the style which Pyynikki can brew quite well.

Bottle. An unclear, yellowish beer topped by a dense, small, off-white head. The aroma is rather yeasty and fruity, with a faint chalky touch. Resins and citrus peel in the back. Some pale malts in the flavor, too much yeast going on, with pine cones and a decent bitterness too. It’s medium bodied, with a soft carbonation. Fruity, yeasty finish. Not very good this one, way too yeasty. 141024

Bottle. It’s an unclear, yellowish-golden beer with a small, dense, white head. Some lacings. The aroma is yeasty and chalky, with some banana and wheat malts.
