This beer was selected as the best Finnish micro brew beer of 2006 in Helsinki Beer Festival.
Dark copper brown, decent creamy brownish head, some lace. A ryeish like, mildly hoppy nose. A bit roasted, hoppy. Barley and hops in the aftertaste, slightly smoked feeling there.

Draught@HBF 2006 (on list as Savusahti, but Sörkän Ruissahti was on the tap). Hazy amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is very sahtilike, juniper and malts, with hints of smoke. Juniper, malts, yeast and some other fruitish hints in flavour, which also contained smoke. Indeed a sahti, though the smoke ruined it a bit.

Draught (As Amarillo American Pale Ale). A bit hazy pale nutbrown colour with big creamy off-white head. A bit lacing also. Pleasant flowery hops with fruity hints. The flavour is very bitter from flowery hops. Also a bit of sour hints in it. Dry finish and long hoppy flowery aftertaste.

A bit light amber color, decent creamy head. Lemony honey hoppy nose, not very strong. Harsh bitterish and a bit annoying malty flavor. Medium-bodied, long bitter even a bit alcoholic aftertaste. Usually Stadin Panimo’s bitters are excellent, this is not. (6/3/4/2/10 2.5)
Re-rated, alc. 5.2 %
Amber color, creamy white head. Flowery hoppy, honeyish aroma. Medium-bodied, quite honey sweetish bitter. English hops rise in the aftertaste together with sweet candies. Balanced, but maybe could have some more character. Much better than earlier batch rated. (7/4/7/3/14 3.5)

Hazy orange color, small but steady head. Flowery hoppy, a bit lemony dish cleanser -like aroma. Crisp, fresh, lemony, citric hoppy with carbonated mouthfeel. As drunked in the middle of March - 15cm of snow and -6C outside - this is not its best, this is a summer drink!

Dark ruby color, good creamy and thick tan head. Nose is English flowery hoppy, a bit sticky. Cold coffee in the roasted flavor, hops appear in the aftertaste. Nice basic porter - session like lighter version of some Stadin’s heavier stuff.

Almost opaque black, creamy tan head. Licorice, herbs, glue and alcohol in the nose. Quite light palate. A bit roasted flavor but mainly it is dominated by herbs - very much like drinking stout mixed with Jägermeister. Interesting but not really enjoyable.

Draught (23 Jan 2006). Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Caramel, roasted malt, spices and coffeeish notes in aroma. Flavour is roasted malt, with old black coffee and some caramellish hints. Carbonation is biting for a stout, Pleasant one! 7 5 7 4 14

Draught (as Stadin Talviportteri, 18 Jan 2007, bottom of the keg (last pint)). Brownish red colour and mediumsized beige head. Aroma is blueberries, roasted malts and chewing gum. Flavour is blueberries, xylitol (chewing gummy), and slight roasted malts. As it gets warmer it gets lots of various berries and dark fruits in it along with pleasant smokeish hints. As warm also clove is widely noteable in both aroma and flavour. 7 4 7 4 14.

Opaque black, steady expresso head, lace. Berry-like, spicey and hoppy, a bit sour nose. Smooth and roasted hoppy palate starts slightly sweet then turns to spicey (clove, cinnamon) hoppy bitterness in the finish. A bit chocolaty too.
