Ligth tobacco, some florals. Dark prune, burnt toffee. Caramel, a little clove here. Pours dark brown with pretty good head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Pretty well balanced. I get a more Belgian vibe than Oakes. Pleasant strong dark. Can.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold amber with a small, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Aroma of caramel malt, Belgian yeast and floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, red apple, Belgian yeast and spicy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky, oily texture and average to soft carbonation. Not bad.

Red, hazy, with a pink head. Light beet taste…not so much on the nose. Actually tastes like clean pale malt base, maybe a touch of acidity. You kind of always have to try the beet beer.

Has a pale amber colour, maybe just a hint of the pinot noir must, thin head. Vinous note. Medium maltiness, mostly sweet without further nuance. Lightly yeasty. Mellow fruitiness.

A non-traditional traditional ale, as the smoked malt isn't some Norwegian thing but what seems to be Weyermann beech. Murked out light brown, medium head. Massive smoke nose…the fruity-sticky kveik thing is there too but it’s a smoke bomb. On the palate, tart, with sticky ass malt, so the kveik is in full effect. Still absolutely full of smoke. I don’t much care for the underlying stickiness but if you’re going for classic Norwegian kveik this has to be on the right path.

Slight haze, thick head. Pale. The nose is herbal and estery. but the taste is nice…classic herbaceous saison with hops and a clean bready pale malt base.

Chestnut and hazy. Thin head. Smells more crackery, toasty. Cleaner like a strongish brown…i thought this would be Belgianish but no!

Dullish amber. This one’s a bit of a miss…yeasty and not super… malts are a bit flabby and it’s light on bitterness or hop expression. I don’t hate it but it goes nowhere

Pale and hazy. Med head. Big and bright cardamom aroma, light esters, yeastiness. Big body, decent sweetness and a soft malt backbone. Lots of cardamom but not over the top… or at least not as over the top as my own personal worst cardamom excesses. Tasty shit if you like cardamom.
